The Young Victoria We Were Amused

Nothing out of the ordinary, except for the fact that men (two of which are enormous mustache sporting and bases) are wearing red and gold brocade frock coats and women (half partings and ringlets on their ears) are long, flat jewel-colored satin dresses with full skirts. They are well soon joined by two women who, in turn, light cigarettes and participate in muffled conversation, interspersed with storms of laughter.
